The European Union has introduced several initiatives aimed at transforming the transport and logistics sector, with significant implications for the pharmaceutical industry and companies that are our members' clients. That’s why Jean-François, Mario, and David are closely monitoring these initiatives at EALTH. These are the most important ones:

Our members are large transport- and storage companies with activities in the healthcare supply chain. Some of them are also doing last-mile deliveries to polyclinics, hospitals and pharmacies for example.
But during the last decade, many medium-sized and large European cities have introduced new traffic policies to avoid traffic in those cities as much as possible, to create more and more car-free zones, in combination (or not) with more public transport. There is no doubt about the benefits of such a policy, such as better air quality and less noise pollution. And this trend will continue.

2025 will be an important year for EALTH. It will be the first full year with a new EU parliament and new EU commission, as well as lots of EU directives and interesting projects that will impact the businesses of our members' businesses and transport and storage companies in the healthcare supply chain.
