Doctor in Pharmacy plus business school, Jean-François has spent 10 years in a pharmaceutical company as Supply Chain Manager and Deputy Pharmacist/Qualified Person.

After 4 years in merchant banking as responsible for a portfolio of subsidiaries and participations, he started a career in the Healthcare LSP with different positions : Operations Director, Project Director, and since 2008 Europe Pharmaceutical General Director for FM Health covering the functions of QP for France and Switzerland and assuring the healthcare compliance at corporate level.

As a responsive leader he developed operative and innovative solutions with a view to participating efficiently to market needs and evolutions. Participating to the profession development and representation he’s the President of the French depositaries organization LOGSanté.

In 2010 he collaborated to the creation and was elected Chairman of EALTH the European Association for Logistics and Transport in Healthcare which represents the logistics and dedicated transport service providers to the European Institutions and Organizations.

Birgit Peeters graduated in 1993 as Commercial Engineer and next to a strong background in Finance and Administration she brings +20 years of extensive leadership and communication skills to EALTH.

Birgit Peeters started her career in Finance in the media industry, where she became CFO in 2007.

During her time in several Media companies (Sanoma, Truvo, FCR Media) she also held executive level positions in HR, Operations and General Management.

In 2020, Birgit decided to change industry and joined the Walden group to become CFO of Eurotranspharma.

She is also CFO for the Benelux entities of Ciblex, another business unit in the Walden Organization.

Birgit was appointed EALTH treasurer in August 2021.

David Desmet De Lavie is a freelance senior public affairs, communication and medical editorial expert with more than 25 years of experience working across the healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotech, medical devices and patient advocacy ecoystems.

He has a strong track record in developing and implementing integrated public affairs and communication strategies at national, European and global level, supporting corporate clients, public institutions, medical societies and EU federations and organisations.

He has advised a wide range of organisations on advocacy strategies, positioning, reputation management and stakeholder coalition building. He is known for his extensive network within the Belgian and European health policy landscape and his ability to mobilise alliances in a proactive, constructive and diplomatic manner.

He was the (co-)author or supervisor of dozens of position and white papers, memoranda and other political documents, as well as a ghostwriter for books on topics including disease awareness, digital health and healthcare innovation.

David is fluent in four languages: Dutch, French, English and German, and has a working knowledge of Spanish.

Mario is a highly experienced healthcare services professional with over 20 years of experience delivering sustainable, profitable growth across different services, including 3rd Party Logistics, Clinical Trial Supply Services, Contract Salesforce and Wholesale distribution. Mario has deep experience with policy-making, infrastructure challenges, reimbursement issues Healthcare Professional dynamics and recently, sustainability, leading EALTH’s important work on HDV road transport developments.

Mario also has a strong understanding of the functioning of Healthcare and its supply chains across Europe and beyond, and his last project before setting up Mpep Consulting in 2024 was driving the global growth of the Alcura Clinical Trial Supply services, a Cencora company.

Mpep Consulting focuses on accelerating its Healthcare client's supply chain services and sales growth, support and challenging their client's organisations to activate growth from the C-Suite to the warehouse floor. Their primary focus is on Pharma, Biotech, Clinical, and Logistics Services clients, where they develop and implement sales growth-oriented actions with an emphasis on effective execution.
