Yesterday evening, PICS Belgium invited EALTH to their annual Supply Chain Professionals Connect event in Heverlee, Belgium. They invited computer scientist and keynote speaker Jeroen Baert to give us his insights as an expert on AI. These were - in my view - some essential take-home messages:
On behalf of EALTH, David Desmet De Lavie attended yesterday the second Forum meeting of the CMA in Brussels. EALTH is a member of CMA. Last year, tremendous work was done within the different Working Groups and the Steering Board to prepare - with the stakeholders, members, and partners - the Critical Medicines Act. This Act will play an important role in preventing critical medicines shortages in the EU so that the accessibility to patient care will not be compromised.
Last year, EALTH joined the European Road Safety Charter (ERSC). Being a member, we can make a member commitment, a pledge made to improve road safety in our environment.

Not every transport and storage company is happy with the European Commission's plans to make the sector “greener”. Too expensive, too far-reaching, and unrealistic can be heard in the corridors. The arrival of US President Trump – who is very scornful about this – and the recent lobbying scandal about European subsidies that were given to climate NGOs to lobby for legislative “green” initiatives among EU parliamentarians, meanwhile, can shed a different light on those EU Green Deal plans for the transport sector.
